Hi readers, I am Ashi. Growing up I have had a lot of personality issues, I was a girl with so low self-esteem and underconfident. I used to admire people who are always happy and confident. It was surprising for me, how people can do things so easily. I was so shy to be in groups and was not able to interact with people at all. But all the way to this point I really learned that confidence is no tag, it begins from within. There’s always sun after a long dark night, use that sunshine to embrace yourself.
IT TELLS THAT YOU’RE ENOUGH. YOU’RE UNIQUE.
Here are the tips that I’ve learned to this day about how to be confident in every aspect of life:
1. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Oh! Camila Cabello is so hot.
Oops! Let’s get back to the point. Believe in yourself I know you’re now like yeah! I believe in myself still not working. I totally hear you. This is the first stage when success begins. Tha’s why it’s difficult to achieve. believe begins from accepting yourself as you’re- small thin, fat, tall, black, white, gay.
There are a lot of people with the same outer looks and same thinking, but there’s something inside you that is unique. You’re unique, you know yourself better than anyone else on this earth. Once you start accepting yourself as you’re, the world will start accepting too. There are times, we feel a little low, we are full of emotions, you’re allowed to feel it, but release it, get back up. And tell yourself who you’re. You’re enough. You can do anything.
2. HAVE CONTROL ON YOUR LIFE
” No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”- Eleanor Roosevelt.
You’ll meet people in your life who seems encouraging but actually not. They try to get the bit of your life so that they can control you by putting you down under your insecurities. You can talk to people you trust, but sometimes somethings are good to kept secret. You can decide who to give the power to control you, I believe the answer must be only “you”. Decide what feed your soul with good food.
3. GIVE YOURSELF A PEP TALK DAILY.
I LOVE BARACK OBAMA. HEHE!!
Okay so now the challenge is how to do it. In my experience it is useful to talk to yourself in every tough situation, even if you’re anxious, feeling low, terrified, any phase of life which tries to keep you behind and never just talk, give the real pep talk to yourself. Care for yourself like moms do for their children.
Scold yourself a little like ‘how dare you even think that you’re less’, ‘ how dare you even think that you can’t do it’. Believe me, when you give yourself a very motivational speech, it really feeds that stuff in your subconscious mind. And we begin to act more confident as now the brain is now fed with some good petrol.
4. RAISE YOUR CURIOSITY LEVELS
Just like Harry Potter’s wand. BTW, do you liked the movie? I loved it.
When we try to think two positive thoughts to cover up one negative thought, we believe in it. It’s a neurological process that made us believe in it. And life is nothing if there is no curiosity, it tells about your interest.
If Apple never falls Isaac Newton may never come to know what gravity is. Ther’s a spark inside everyone, never let that spark dim the real you. If something made you feel curious to go check it, observe, find out why are you curious, try to do it, maybe curiosity dies, but then there will another thing you can feel curious for. You have to try things to check who you really are so that you can be confident about the real you without any embarrassment.
5. FACE YOUR FEARS
When we will be able to sort things out, things won’t seem scary to us. See Jim Carrey, are you still afraid? If he can be this weird on screen, which usually telecast around the world, still he acts weird in every movie. The fact is he doesn’t care, he doesn’t give control to other people to make fun of him and make him sad. Even he do more of what is not usual.
Similarly when fear comes just face it, say I am not scared to your fear, try to challenge it. Fight with it, and put that fear under your feet just like John Cena does to other wrestlers in WWE.
To bring confidence in yourself is something that starts from childhood, if a person is dealing with low self-esteem there might be something in their childhood which they don’t really remember but stays in their subconscious mind.
It will take time to embrace oneself and be confident in every field. It is something that needs full attention to work on to gain it for a lifetime. So, my dear friend, if you’re reading this, just keep the chin up, believe in yourself and rock the life: because remember: YOU’RE UNIQUE, THE ONE AND ONLY YOU ON THIS EARTH.
Let me know what do you think about it. I am curious to hear your side of the story.
